"How did our ancestors fish in the lakes and rivers and what did they use? Through these remarkable collections of objects and works of art, you will discover the various techniques (casting, still, net, reel, reflector or line without a float) which were practised from the Renaissance to the Grand Siècle and the French Revolution and Empire. A whole world is revealed as you tour the different furnished rooms of the family château, built in the 17th century on a fortified butte and now listed as a historical monument. From the Venetian veranda, there is a magnificent view of a 6-hectare lake surrounded by a French garden designed by Le Nôtre.
