Description

Saint-Benoit-sur-Loire is a small town renowned for the quality of its heritage, and is also the French capital of beet for cooking. Today, 70% of French beet production is processed in Saint-Benoit, thanks to the expertise of 6 farms. The story of these men and women at work will be told on this special Sunday. On Sunday August 31, at 2:30 p.m. in the Salle des Fêtes, you'll be treated to an original exhibition and a video on today's production. Afterwards, a 2 km stroll through the streets and lanes will be punctuated by commented stops and tastings of products derived from beet. The walk will be accompanied by producers, historians and local residents.
